A reminder about the coffee morning / second hand uniform sale on Friday 16 October from 9.30am to 10.30am in the school Hall. We look forward to seeing you then.
SCHOOL OCTOBER HOLIDAY - The school mid term holiday will be from 26 to 30 October. There will be no school for the children that week. School will reopen on Monday 2 November.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAYS - All schools dedicate five days during the academic year for staff training. The school will be closed for the children for one day only on Monday 9 November as the staff will be involved in the first training day of the year.
There are three days booked for 19-21 July 2010 and this leaves one further day to be arranged.
Sending payments into school: When sending money into school, please send in the exact change in an envelope marked with your child’s name, class and what the payment is for.
Holy Rood Playgroup – is recruiting a part-time, term time only Playgroup Assistant/Keyworker, to work Tuesdays to Fridays for 15 hours per week. Interested applicants should hold an NVQ 2 Children’s Care, Learning and Development Qualification or be enrolled on a course studying for this qualification. Swindon LIFE Group are once again hosting Talent for LIFE: a concert showcasing the talent of our young people and raising awareness and funds for the work of the charity LIFE. Thursday 15th October, 7pm at St Joseph's Catholic College, Ocotal Way.Mrs Ellery is preparing the choir and they will sing two songs. MASS OF REMEMBRANCE - The annual Mass of Remembrance will be held in St Joseph’s Catholic College on 18 November at 4.30pm. Children from the Infant School will be carrying the Offertory.
CLIFTON DIOCESE MASS OF THANKSGIVING – will be held on 26 November at 7.00pm in Clifton Cathedral. Full details are on the back of this Newsletter.
