Dear Parents
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the recent CAFOD collection – the sum raised was £220.92.
School uniform orders will in future be dealt with by Mrs Lepore on Tuesday afternoons from 2.30-3.00pm. Orders should be sent in to the office in an envelope marked with your child’s name and class. Thank you.
PARENTS AND FRIENDS ASSOCIATION - The Sponsored Silence will be held in school on 3 December. We would be grateful if sponsor forms and pictures for colouring could be brought to school on that day. If you have misplaced the form or the picture another copy can be provided.
WEST SWINDON BUSES – DECEMBER 7TH, 8TH AND 9TH - The Junior School children will be boarding the buses at the Infant School on Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th December. The buses will therefore arrive up to twenty minutes earlier than usual in West Swindon. Please make sure you are at the bus stop in good time to meet your child/children on those days.
CHRISTMAS SERVICE MONDAY AND TUESDAY 14 AND 15 DECEMBER:
Please remember that the children’s costumes should be in school by Friday 4 December.
The Service will take place in Holy Rood Church at 1.30pm on Monday 14 December and Tuesday 15 December and you are invited to attend on one day as follows (all children will take part on both days):
Monday 14 December - Classes 1 and 3 and Reception Groups Badgers and Kingfishers;
Tuesday 15 December - Classes 2 and 4 and Reception Group Owls.
Unfortunately individual photos/videos cannot be made by parents/friends in the church. The Parents and Friends Association are arranging for a professional company to record the Service and a separate letter will be sent home about purchasing a DVD/Video.
A collection will be taken each day after the Service for Mission Together, the charity whose motto is ‘Children Helping Children’. The children will return to school after the Service and you will then be able to collect them from their classroom.
WYVERN THEATRE PANTOMIME TRIP – WEDNESDAY 16 DECEMBER - Thank you to everyone who has returned the permission slip and contribution for the pantomime trip to the Wyvern Theatre on Wednesday 16 December. If you have not already done so, please return the permission slip/contribution by Friday 4 December. The children should arrive at school at the normal time in their school uniform and they, together with all the staff, will walk to the Wyvern for the performance. Everyone will return to school in time for lunch.
CHILDREN’S PARTY - THURSDAY 17 DECEMBER – Children can wear party clothes on this day, however they should have their lunch at school as normal either a packed lunch from home or a meal ordered from Cygnet Catering. The party will be in the afternoon.
