| NEWSLETTER 02 18 SEPTEMBER 2009
Dear Parents
HEALTH AND SAFETY -
PLAYGROUND
Staff will be at the Groundwell Road end of the playground to supervise the children until the doors open at 8.45am. Children who are with staff are not allowed to go out of the coned area at the Groundwell Road end of the playground. The staff must know which children they are responsible for. Therefore, parents who wish to wait with their children should use the Durham Street entrance and keep their children in this part of the playground. They must not go into the coned area.
Dogs - Dogs are not allowed into the playground.
Pushchairs - Please do not bring pushchairs into the lobby or corridors in the mornings.
Shoes - We are concerned about healthy foot development and safety. Therefore we recommend school shoes that are fastened by velcro, buckles or laces. Boots, open-toed sandals, sling-back, slip-on or high heeled shoes are not suitable.
Long Hair - In the interest of safety, long hair should be tied back during the school day and must be tied back for PE.
Jewellery - No jewellery is permitted in the form of necklaces, bracelets or rings. Small flat stud earrings are allowed if the ears have already been pierced but not more than one in each ear.
SCHOOL INDIVIDUAL PHOTOGRAPHS
Individual photographs will be taken on Friday 25 September. Siblings in school will be photographed individually and together. If you would like to bring another child for a family photograph please do so between 8.30am and 9.00am.
CAFOD – 2 OCTOBER – ‘EVERY CHILD’S RIGHT TO EDUCATION’
On Friday 2 October we will have a non-uniform day. As your contribution will go to CAFOD to support their work on Education in Brazil we would like the children to be dressed in the Brazilian colours of blue, yellow and green.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Denise Slaght
